The main draw card of Ha’apai is its untouched natural scenery and beauty; the waters are pristine and warm throughout most of the year. It’s a perfect place to snorkel, kayak and dive through many varied and spectacular reefs. It’s also a top spot to see the humpback whales which travel through the region in the mid to late year (July through October).
There’s also a bit of history here, with the famous incident, ‘Mutiny of the Bounty’ occurring between several of the main islands of Ha’apai in 1789. You can discover ancient burial grounds and miraculous crosses as well. Always plenty to do!
